OpenTech Hackathon 2026 runs in 5 stages over 20 days. Each stage has specific deliverables and criteria.
All teams must register and submit a Project Proposal for shortlisting. Complete your team registration on this portal and submit all required details.
The jury panel of professors will review all submitted ideas. Shortlisted teams will be notified via email and their status will update on this portal.
Accepted teams enter 12 days of intensive development. Build a functional prototype using any technology stack. A mid-review checkpoint is held on Day 10 for progress feedback.
All shortlisted teams must submit their final project before 11:59 PM IST. Submissions are made via this portal by updating your GitHub, Live URL, and PPT links.
Top teams present their live working prototypes before the full jury panel. Each team gets 10 minutes to demo and 5 minutes for Q&A. Winners are announced the same day.

Participation is open to all students of Sandip University. You can participate individually or in teams of up to 4 members.
No, there is absolutely no registration fee. The event is fully sponsored by the Department of Computer Science to promote innovation.
Since the initial phases are online, you only need a laptop and a stable internet connection. For the Grand Finale, you'll need to bring your laptop and any hardware components required for your specific prototype.
Yes! Stage 1 (Idea Submission) and Stage 3 (Build Phase) are entirely remote. However, the Grand Finale on May 9th is an offline event at the Sandip University Bihar campus.
The top 3 teams will receive cash prizes. Additionally, all valid submissions will receive certificates of participation, and winners may receive mentorship and incubation support for their projects.
